October 15th, 2014
On September 29 to October 8, 2014 two challenges were given to the students of Hillcrest…who could build the most extravagant CANstruction out of food items? And who could collect the most food items for the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank.
Our Hillcrest Huskies collected 750 food items all together for our food drive and came up with some awesome CANstructions!
Ms. Brake’s Grade 6 class collected the most food items. They collected 93 food items!
Once we were finished collecting the food items another challenge begun…who could build the Hillcrest favourite of CANstructions? Students worked together in their classrooms to come up with an idea for their CANstruction and then created their structures outside of their classrooms for all to see.
Hillcrest voted and Mrs. Gibson’s Grade 5 class won for favourite CANstruction!
Thank you so much Huskies for your generous donations to the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank. You did a fantastic job!
