Dear Parents and Guardians,

Some parents have told us that they have spotted coyotes in the forest near our school.

We have notified animal control and the Ministry of Natural Resources about the sighting, however, they do not take any action unless the animal is showing signs of disease and poses a danger to the community.

It is important that community members do not approach the animal. School staff will be monitoring the school yard where it borders the forest.
